Mcnabb to the Redskins?

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded their franchise Quarterback Donovan Mcnabb to their rival Washington Redskins. Why they did this? Well they have been trying to get rid of Mcnabb for years but why? All he has done for your franchise is lead them into the playoffs every year he has been there. His record as a starting quarterback is 92-49-1 which is a ridiculous winning percentage for a NFL quarterback. He was 9-7 in the playoffs including a super bowl appearance. He has gone to numerous pro bowls and he is a model player. He never gets in trouble with the law. He isn't a whinny baby. He is the ultimate professional quarterback. So why trade him you ask? The eagles have 2 good quarterbacks behind him, Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick. Mike Vick was a pro bowler while he played for the Atlanta Falcons but he went to jail for a year for dog fighting. Kevin Kolb is only a 3 year pro who really doesn't have any expierence. The Eagles are idiots for making this trade. Vick doesn't fit into the eagles system. He is a running qb. He looks to take off running before he looks to pass. Don't get me wrong Vick is one of my favorite players of all-time but he doesn't fit the Eagles passing game. Kevin Kolb is a decent quarterback but again he isn't expierenced and we don't know what he'll do with the pressure on him. Why would you trade Mcnabb to the Redskins when you could've got him out of your division. We'll never know

Extra Credit-News discussion

We discussed about the Afgan President about how the voting was rigged and that he has no support in the United States. We talked about how afgan wasn't a nation; but that it is a bunch of tribal groups that have different languages and beliefs. There are a bunch of long standing rivalries. The british tried and failed and russia did as well. We have had troups in there since '02. The lady who was leading the discussion has a former student going to Iraq and Afganistan to teach the Nato Nation.

We also talked about how China didn't suffer like most companies through the recession but that it might get hit hard here soon. Labor costs are a lot cheaper over there and that's why Ford sold Volvo to China for cheaper than they bought it.

Evan Turner is AP Player of the Year

Evan Turner from The Ohio State University is the Associated Press player of the year! He dominated college basketball this year and was very deserving of this trophy. He average 20.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists. He was an all around team player on one of the best teams in the Nation. Ohio state made the elite 8 before being knocked out by Tennessee. Evan is one of my favorite players that have played college basketball since Carmelo Anthony. I want to Jazz to draft him so bad because I compare his athleticism to Lebron James. NOT that he is as good by any means but he does everything like Lebron James does. He passes, scores and rebounds. That is hard to find in a person. Usually kids just want to score, but Evan finds people and does all the dirty work that people don't like to do. Evan Turner will make a great pro and I personally think he should forgo his sr. year and join the ranks of the NBA. He has the potentional to become an NBA all-star and hopefully he comes to the Utah Jazz and becomes an NBA champion as well!

News Story-Print: A local dance group “Vibe” is getting the shot of a lifetime on Dancing with the Stars.

Dancing with the stars will dip into the wealth of talent that Utah has to offer when Vibe Performing Arts Studio performs April 13.

A group of kids from Vibe Performing Arts Studio in Lindon, Utah are preparing to show the world what Utah dance has to offer. These kids have trained their whole lives in all different styles such as hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap and ballroom, which is what they will be performing for all of America. The team is made up of 10 people; the 5 guys are Brock Bodily, Nick Bloxsom-Carter, Tynan Hamilton, Brandon Armstrong, and Trey Jackson. The 5 girls are Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, Brittany Cherry, Kelsey Skousen, and Tanisha Belnap.
When asked how he felt about doing the show Tynan Hamilton said “I’m excited for what we are going to show the nation which is what we have been working our whole lives for."

For 2 of these kids this won't be the first performing on the show. Brandon Armstrong and Brittany Cherry competed last season for America's favorite jr.'s dancers.

“It’s going to be a fun expeirence. It’ll be a blast going back for a second time.” said Brittany.

Since the show Brittany and Brandon have split up and found new partners. Brandon now dances with Lindsay Arnold and they are currently ranked number 1 in the United States of America..

“We have 3 lessons a week that last 2 hours long of training just for our partnership alone and that doesn't include the professional guest choreographers we bring in monthly." said Brandon.

When I asked Rick Robinson the director of the kids, how is it possible you get the most out of your dancers he responded, “I get the most out of my dancers because I don’t challenge them personally, I challenge the dance that they are doing. Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.. Impossible is nothing.”

Heyward the final key to the Braves!

Rookie Jason Heyward will be starting for the Atlanta Braves this year in the Outfield. I love this kid. Jason Heyward is exactly what the braves need. He is a power outfielder that we have been missing ever since Andruw Jones left! He also has the speed to steal bases and get us some more runs from his speed alone. This kid is the number 1 prospect in all of baseball so why wouldn't he be starting? I'm the biggest braves fan on earth so when I read this article I got so excited for the baseball season. I think this single handley puts the Braves in consideration to be one if not the best outfield defense with Nate Mclouth, Melky Cabera and now this stud of a man Jason Heyward. The braves will compete with the division rival the Philadelphia Phillies for the NL East and I'll even go as far as saying the NL title! I hope that we finally break this little skid of not making the playoffs and we make it this year. I guarentee if the braves make the playoffs they will make the world series because they have the 2 things you need to win a title defense and pitching. If we stay healthy of course. I'm super excited about this year and I hope for the best for this young kid.

Fake Obituary

People don't cry this is fake it's just for my Mass Media class. No tears need to be shed!

Mr. Chaz Layne Bodily aka "Chizzle for Rizzle", a very dedicated dancer, as well as a dance teacher who loved performing and helping others become great, died on Monday night, in Provo, Utah.

Chaz's dad, Kevin Bodily, told the police and reporters present that the two of them were on the golf course playing a quick 9 holes when Chaz, 23, collapsed and died instantly from a golf ball to the back of the head. Police don't suspect any intention from the man who struck him with his arrant ball.

Chaz spent his whole life in Utah, besides his Latter Day Saints mission to London, England. He grew up in Pleasant Grove, and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 2005. He was currently living in Provo, with his best friend Warren Mcdade, while attending Utah Valley University.

Chaz loved his movies, sports, dance, and most of all his family. He loved his years of playing high school football for Pleasant Grove High School and loved watching and supporting any sport. Since the age of 2 Chaz danced for a few different companies but most recently for Vibe Producitons. He loved dancing all kinds of styles including Hip Hop, Ballroom, Jazz and even Ballet. He was a national champion in Latin Ballroom Formation. He was currently working towards broadcast journalism/Marketing degree at UVU.

Chaz is survived by his parents, Kevin and Jilane and his four siblings Brayden, Brock, Kenedee, and Brooklynn. He will also be missed by his best friends also known as the gayper gayng, Jaymz, John, Sam and Jason.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 26 at the Pleasant Grove Stake Center, 1265 N. 850 E. Services will be followed with the burial at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Nomar retires as a part of the nation

Nomar Garciaparra is retiring from the game of baseball as a Red Sox player. Nomar played his first 9 seasons with the Red Sox and was one of the crowds favorite players. He signed a minor league contract today with the Red Sox so that he could retire as a part of the great organization. I love the fact that the Red Sox are loyal to their players. Nomar was one of the greatest Red Sox players both on and off the field. Every time I saw Nomar in any other jersey it made me disgusted because he should've been still putting on the red and white colors of Boston. I love that the fans of the Red Sox(the nation is what they call themselves) are so loyal to one of their greats even when he isn't on their team. I remember one time when he was on the Oakland A's, Nomar came up to bat as an opposing player, and instead of boo's, which you usually hear from the crowd when a former player comes up to bat, the people gave him a standing ovation. It was so cool to witness that loyality and love they had for him. He will be a Hall of famer hopefully and now he gets to go in as a Red Sox! I love this story so much. Go Sox!

Bears sign biggest fish in Free agent pool

The Chicago Bears have signed their man, Julius Peppers. The 2 sides have come together to ink a 6 year deal. As a Vikings fan as well as a New England Patriots fan(who were also going for Peppers, the best player in the free agent pool) this pisses me off. We(the patriots) needed him for our weak defense that has been slowly diminishing here the past couple of years. I hate this deal because even more because they are in the same division of the Minnesota Vikings(the other team I love) and he is a master of stopping the run and that is the Vikings strongest part of their team(Adrian Peterson). Now all that are left in the pool is a bunch of old washed up guys that the Patriots will sign because "they're a crafty veteran" or "they have leadership qualities".. I'm sorry when you have one of the best offenses in the league you need a defense that can back it up. Being up 17 points in the 4th quarter to the colts and losing because your defense sucks is the worst feeling ever. Good for the Bears stealing Julius Peppers away, why I say stealing is because they're an awful team and he just wanted to be paid, and I hope that he can help they're sorry excuse for a team....Not! Well Patriots your move now!

U S A!!!!! All The Way!

The United States of America will be playing in the Gold medal game of the 2010 Olympics! The American team dominated Finland and the game was over in the first quarter. After 1 it was 6-0... Finlands goalie pulled himself out after 4 goals disgusted with himself. Now USA waits for the winner of the Canada/Slovakia game. USA has already beat Canada 5-3 in the preliminary rounds and I'm sure the Canadians are looking for revenge. None of the "experts" had this at the beginning of the Olympics. Everyone had Canada vs. Russia for the gold medal game without USA even mentioned there. Me, being the patriot I am, thought very naivly that USA could get to the gold medal game and win it... yes I called it! I bleed red, white and blue! I love the American team. They're scrappy, tough and don't take crap from anyone! When they win the gold on sunday I will be very excited and happy! This Olympics has been dominated by the greatest country on the world... USA!!!!!!

News Story-Print

National recruit signing day is the day that dreams young men have had their entire lives come true. All the recruits from Utah County all came together at 6 a.m. to sign their letter of intent to the school they were choosing to sign with. Pleasant Grove had an all-time high of recruits. 7. All of them division 1 schools. Joey Owens was the 2nd best recruit from Pleasant Grove. I sat down and had a little interview with him about this such thing. C(Chaz) J(Joey Owens)

Chaz: Thanks for your help.
Joey: Anytime for my good friend.
C: So Joey what schools offered you a scholarship?
J: BYU and Stanford

C: Why did you choose BYU over the other schools that offered you a scholarship?
J: The biggest reason for me was being close to home, I want my family to be able to watch me play.

C: What position did BYU offer you a scholorship to play?
J: They offered me to play outside linebacker

C: How do you feel you'll help BYU on the field?
J: I will help because i'm versatile and can go anywhere they need me to go. I have a presence of where i'm at on the field and where the play is heading.

C:What are your expectations for playing time in the first year?
J: I don't expect to play at all the first year, due to injury. If I wasn't injured there's a chance I could play a few games. But with the injuries i'm pretty sure I won't be playing at all this year.

C:What are your expectations winning wise this year for the school?
J:
My expectations for the school this year might seem a little out there, but I expect them to win every game, there's not a team that can't be beaten on any given day, and I think we can stay on the winning side.

C: How excited are you to play in the holy war rivalary?
J:The holy war is crazy, I'm stoked to play in it. Going out and playing in cougar blue against the ute red really gets me excited. It's one of the things that I am looking foreword to the most.

I also chatted with Joey's Mother. I asked her a couple questions about her son.

C: How proud are you of your son and his choice to go to BYU and stay close to home?
JM: Haha good question. I'm very happy that he choose to stay so close to home so we can go to every game without having to spend a lot of money on travel.

C: Your son was on of the best recruits in Utah, why do you think he is?
JM: My son works very hard on the field, during practice, he hits the gym daily and he also study's very hard at home without me asking him.

C: Last question. Do you think he will make it to the next level?
JM: Of course I do I'm his mother. In all seriousness I think if he works hard and keeps up with his studies I think he can do whatever he puts his mind to.

There you have it. A proud mother and her stud of a son.

Cavs stack their already stacked team..

The Cleveland Cavaliers get Washington Wizards all-star power forward Antwan Jamison for Big Z and a 1st round draft pick. Jamison is one of the best power forwards in the NBA to go along side with Lebron James the greatest player in the NBA that's a scary thing. They will be the favorites to win the championship this year which is great because I love Lebron. The Wizards are just trying to trade away all their big contracts so they can start to rebuild. They might just buyout Big Z's contract and then he'd just sign back with the Cavs...so basically the Cavs traded their first round pick(which would most likely be the 30,31 or 32 pick of the first round, so not that good) for one of the best power forwards.. That's stealing. The Cavs have the best starting 5 in the NBA in my eyes now with an all-star point guard(Mo Williams) a great shooting shooting guard(Anthony Parker) Lebron James the best player in my eyes, Antwan Jamison and the best center to ever play the game(Shaquille O'Neal) that is just a nasty nasty nasty team with a deep bench as well. I hope they can get it done unless they're playing my Utah Jazz..but if they play the Lakers I hope they destroy them and I hope its not a close series. Good no should I say great trade for the Cleveland Cavaliers!

Hall Of Fame

Malone and Pippen are 2 of the 19 finalist's that could be inducted into the NBA Hall of fame! We all knew that pippen and malone would be and will be first ballot hall of famers! Karl Malone is one if not the greatest Power Forwards to play the game of basketball ball! Scotty Pippen is also one of the greatest Small Forwards ever...granted he did play with Michael Jordan who would make me into a hall of famer ( and that's saying something) but he didn't dissappoint he did win 6 rings.. Both of these guys will for sure be in the hall of fame and most likely they'll both be first ballot, if not they will be in the future. They are two of the top 50 players of all time. The were big rivals and I hated Scotty Pippen because he always beat my Utah Jazz and Karl Malone. I'm happy that they will be in there soon. They both deserve it. Malone will join his coach Jerry Sloan, and his teammate/point guard John Stockton. Scotty Pippen will be joining the greatest player ever Michael Jordan and his coach as well Phil Jackson. Congrats to the both of them! I hope they both have their teammates/friends induct them into the HOF!

2011 no NFL...Lockout?

DeMaurice Smith told NFL receiver Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson that the number of the likelyhood of the NFL having a lock out season in 2011 out of 1-10 is a 14. The NFL is thinking that a lock out will happen starting March of 2011 when the current players contract runs out. I hate to fathom the idea of no NFL football season happening after next year. What is going on? There is definitely enough money if some of the players are making 100 million a year. To save the NFL players would have to take a 328,000 dollar pay cut. For some I'm sure that is just chunk change to players like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and so. For the players making the league minimum its almost their whole paycheck and would hurt them bad. If the NFL doesn't happen they'll still make 5 billion dollars from Fox, Cbs and NBC their TV stations. Roger Goodell said you don't make money by closing down your company... well then fix it! Goodell is the worst Commissioner ever! First he took out the fun such as Touchdown celebrations and he is more harsh on funny players such as Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens. The players call it the No Fun League. If this lock out happens I will literally cry. How does the most profitable sport in America think about having a lock out? It just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I wish all these pretty boy players of the NFL can together to make the league continue strong.

Idiots..

Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton have been suspended for the rest of the year by commissioner David Stern. These 2 idiots are the reason why kids are purchasing guns. Arenas and Crittenton had a disagreement, while on the Washington Wizards plane coming home from a game, about a card game they were betting on. Crittenton was so angry that he lost he threatened Arenas telling him that he was going to shoot him with his own gun. The next day Arenas laid out 4 guns in from of Crittenton's locker and said choose one. They're the dumbest people in the NBA. To make matters worse before one of Arenas's last games he in the huddle before the game pretended like his fingers were guns, not taking the threat seriously. Arenas brought a gun to the stadium first of all, how big of an idiot do you have to be. Second of all Crittenton loaded his gun and pointed it in the direction of Arenas. Neither were very smart. Arenas used to be one of my favorite players in the NBA with all the funny things he does, like his blog, his radio show, and etc. Now I personally think he should be kicked out of the NBA, or at least serve some jail time. Plaxico Burress is in jail right now for the same thing, an unlicensed weapon, but he shot himself. Burress brought his for protection because some fellow teammates of his were held up in that same spot in town. Arenas brought his as a joke. He and Critteton should be punished worse then they are going to be. Plea deal or not. I think that this is a joke and I would like to see some justice take place.

Josh Wolff

Josh Wolff Story-
I personally think he is an idiot. Yes you want to keep the other people safe but at the same time is it worth going to jail? Couldn't the all mighty government just get a warrant and take his videos that way? He served to keep people safe and I guess that is honorable, but people should've come forward or spoke up when they saw he was going to jail for them so he wouldn't of had to serve jail time.

They try to make me go to rehab....

Tiger Woods the greatest golfer of all time apparently has a sex addiction... With everything that has happened in the past couple months with Tiger his car crash(which we know now was because his with blindsided him with a 3 iron upside the head because she found dirty text messages from women on his phone) the divorce with his wife, all his women he committed adultery with, etc. we learned that Tiger loved his women. He has been admitted into a Sex rehab to help him receive treatment for his addiction of sex. Though no one has confirmed this but one author people have speculated that he is there. Tiger Woods no matter what he does the rest of his life will be looked at as a cheater. I loved and still love Tiger Woods. He is the greatest golfer of all-time and one of the greatest athlete's of all time. He won athlete of the century for the 00's well deserved for the most dominate athlete of that century. All this stuff that has come out recently has tarnished his name a bit. Sponsor's have pulled away from the name Tiger which I still say is a mistake. There are plenty of guys who cheat on their wives in every sport, but just because he is the most well known athlete in the world he gets thrown under the bus? I don't like that one bit. Yes he did cheat. Yes his name is tarnished. What about Magic Johnson? He cheated on his wife. What about Jason Kidd? He cheated on his wife and beat her but people still love him. I think and hope that this blows over if not soon then within the next year so he can get back to doing what he does best....Play golf. For his sex addiction I hope he gets all the help he can from the rehab clinic and I hope he can get out and become a better person for being in there.

40 and dominating the NFL? How does Brett Farve do it?

40 year old, gray haired, gun slinging, Brett Farve is the oldest quarterback to ever play the game of football, won yesterday with a dominating performance in which he threw 4 td's and had no interceptions. Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings took on the Dallas cowboys for a chance to go to the NFC championship game. It was never a contest. The game looked to be going the Dallas cowboys way for the first 2 drives until Minnesota's dominating defense woke up and took over the game. Brett Farve, known as the old man, passed a beautiful, deep ball 40 yards in the air to Sydney Rice for the first touchdown of the game. From then on the cowboys were under fire from the defense, couldn't stop anything on the offense and turned the ball over 3 times. That was without the 40 year old taking over. Brett Farve had one of his best; if not best game, of his career. The Dallas Cowboys were supposedly "the hottest team in the playoffs" but I think that Brett Farve is the hottest player in the playoffs after that performance. He proved that age doesn't matter. After the game Farve in his press conference said of the game "the most fatigued I got in today's game was when I celebrating with my teammates." The man is a child at heart. I loved his performance yesterday. It was like watching a little boy in the candy store. It doesn't matter if you hate, love, or despise the man you have to respect his performance yesterday.. with the exception of the dallas fans.. but if you love the NFL and you love football at all you have to put this performance down as one of the greatest of all time.. and it was by a 40 year old boy! I love Brett Farve! Let's Go Vikings!

Finally! Mark McGwire admits to steriod use.... like we didn't know

Mark McGwire Comes Clean.
The man, the myth, the legend has finally come clean about his steriod use! Mark McGwire no less then 10 minutes ago decide to come clean about his tainted career. Let's be honest...does this come as a suprise to anyone at all? Does it hurt anyone's feelings? Did he think he was fooling anyone? Look back at his rookie year McGwire was only 225 pounds, his last year he was around 260 of pure muscle(well tainted muscles). He had 30 home runs his first 4 years, but then in 1992 and 1993 he only had 9 home runs in both seasons. Then the next year it jumped back up the 39 and the year following that 52. Granted he got hurt a bunch in those 2 off seasons...but that's a sign of steriod use. Tony La Russa his coach said he didn't know that Mark did steriods until he just came out about it, yeah I call bull on that. As a coach you know, especially La Russa who is a great coach, what your players are doing you just don't want to believe it until they come clean. Mark McGwire was a cheater as proven today. He does not deserve a spot in the MLB hall of fame. I hate people who have to cheat to be good at something. It's called hard work and effort...heard of it Mark? Obviously not. He and a few other players such as Barry Bonds, Rafael Palmerio and a few others do not deserve a spot in the hall of fame because they stole records from people who did it clean. This makes me sick. Come clean 10 years ago when you were in a court of law. Does that mean now that you could get jail time for being an idiot? I hope not, but I've heard people going for less then lying before the judge. Baseball is America's past time but it's slowly turning into the laughing stock of the world. Clean it up, if not for you for the sake of the kids. Thanks.
